Type of animal : mouse
Type of study : -
N(Total) : -
N(Treatment) : -
Sex : -
Age : -
Route : Oral administration
Dose/Conc.(herb) : 5 mg/kg
Duration : 7 days
Type of interaction : P.Kinetics & P.Dynamics
Interaction with drug : Allopurinol
Dose/Conc.(drug) : 5 mg/kg
Result : Positive
Remark : The combination of allopurinol and Pallidifloside D significantly decreased the serum uric acid level and increased the urine uric acid level, leading to the normalized serum and urine uric acid concentrations. After Pallidifloside D plus allopurinol, the serum creatinine, urine creatinine and BUN levels were significantly reduced. The synergistic effects of allopurinol combined with Pallidifloside D were linked to the inhibition of both serum and hepatic xanthine oxidase (XOD), the down-regulation of renal mURAT1 and mGLUT9, and the up-regulation of mOAT1.
Note : Type of exteriment: Hyperuricemia mice were divided into control; model group, induced with potassium oxonate; allopurinol (5 mg/kg); Pallidifloside D (5 mg/kg); and allopurinol (5 mg/kg) plus Pallidifloside D (5 mg/kg) group. *Part used: root and rhizome
