Remark : Genipin exerted a decreasing effect on CYP2C19 mRNA expression in the dose-dependent manner and could significantly down-regulate protein expression with dose-dependent manner. The results of enzyme activity showed genipin (10-6M) had no effect on the enzyme activity of CYP2C19. With the increase of genipin concentration, a dose-dependent inhibition was observed. The half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of genipin on CYP2C19 was 7.93 x 10-5M.
