Remark : Genipin (10-6 and 10-7M) could significantly up-regulate CYP2D6 mRNA expression and increase CYP2D6 at protein level. For the assay of CYP2D6 enzyme activity, genipin possessed an induction on the concentration from 10-4M to 10-6M. The half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of genipin on CYP2D6 was 1.16x10-3M.
