Prior treatment of the goats with trikatu significantly reduced the elimination half-life (t1/2Beta) and the zero time intercept of the elimination phase. The indicators of drug distribution in the body i.e. apparent volume of distribution and volume of distribution based on the zero time plasma drug concentration intercept of the elimination phase were significantly higher in the trikatu treated goats.Note : Trikatu prepared from equal parts of Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale.
