[1] POTENTIAL MODULATION ON P-GLYCOPROTEIN AND CYP3A BY SOYMILK AND MISO: IN VIVO AND EX-VIVO STUDIES.
C.P. YU,Y.W. HSIEH,S.P. LIN,ET AL.
FOOD CHEM 2014 Vol.149(),25-30  $48258 [Full]

Part Used : เมล็ด
Activity : CYP3A4 INDUCTION
Solvent/Active Compound : Soymilk
Type of experiment : in vivo
Type of animal : rat
Type of study : -
N(Total) : -
N(Treatment) : -
Sex : -
Age : -
Route : Oral administration
Dose/Conc.(herb) : 4.0 g/kg of soymilk powders
Duration : *
Type of interaction : Pharmacokinetics
Interaction with drug : Ciclosporin*/Cyclosporin/Cyclosporin A/Cyclosporine/CsA/CyA
Dose/Conc.(drug) : -
Result : Positive
Remark : Result: soymilk significantly decreased the Cmax of CSP by 64.5%, and reduced the AUC0-540 by 64.9%. Mechanism studies revealed that the activities of P-gp and CYP3A4 were induced by soymilk. Conculsion, ingestion of soymilk significantly activated the functions of P-gp and CYP3A.
Note : Cyclosporine (CSP), an immunosuppressant agent, is a substrate of P-gp and CYP3A4. *Duration: CSP was given to the rats at 2.5 mg/kg with and without a concomitant dose of miso or soymilk powders in crossover designs. Blood samples were withdrawn via cardiopuncture at 20, 40, 60, 180, 300 and 540 min after dosing with CSP.

Remark : Result: Miso significantly decreased the Cmax of CSP by 78.3%, and reduced the AUC0-540 by 78.3%, respectively. Mechanism studies revealed that the activities of P-gp and CYP3A4 were induced by miso. Conclusion, ingestion of miso significantly activated the functions of P-gp and CYP3A.
