คำตอบ : กลิ่นกายเกิดจากแบคทีเรียบนผิวหนัง เช่น Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus และ Corynebacterium spp. ย่อยสลายสารในเหงื่อจนเกิดสารระเหยที่มีกลิ่น ดังนั้นสมุนไพรที่มีฤทธิ์ต้านแบคทีเรีย โดยเฉพาะสมุนไพรที่มีน้ำมันหอมระเหยจึงสามารถช่วยลดกลิ่นกายได้ ตัวอย่างสมุนไพรที่มีการวิจัยว่ามีฤทธิ์ต้านแบคทีเรีย ได้แก่ กานพลู ขมิ้น ขิง ขลู่ ชา พลู โหระพา เป็นต้น คุณสามารถสืบค้นรายละเอียดงานวิจัยต่าง ๆ ได้จาก google, pubmed โดยใช้คำค้น เช่น body deodorant, body odor + herb
