คำถาม : สมุนไพรรักษาโรคไวรัสตับอักเสบบี- ขอคำแนะนำเนื่องจากแฟนผมเป็นไวรัสตับอักเสบบีชนิดเรื้อรัง ไม่ทราบว่าพอจะมียาหรือสมุนไพรชนิดใดที่ช่วยในการบำรุงรักษาบ้างไหมครับและมีขายที่ไหนครับ

คำตอบ : สมุนไพรที่มีรายงานวิจัยว่ามีฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อไวรัสตับอักเสบ B (Hepatitis B virus, HBV) ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นงานในระดับหลอดทดลอง หรือสัตว์ทดลอง และมีบางชนิดที่มีข้อมูลการศึกษาทางคลินิก แต่ยังไม่มีสมุนไพรชนิดใดที่รักษาโรคไวรัสตับอักเสบ B ได้หายขาด ดังนั้นควรปรึกษาแพทย์ที่รักษาก่อนการใช้สมุนไพร เนื่องจากอาจมีปฏิกิริยากับยาที่ใช้อยู่หรือมีผลข้างเคียงที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ได้ ในปัจจุบันตับอักเสบยังไม่มีวิธีการรักษาโรคโดยเฉพาะที่ให้ผลแน่นอน การรักษาส่วนใหญ่เป็นไปแบบประคับประคอง รอเวลาให้ตับกลับคืนสภาพปกติ และรักษาป้องกันอาการแทรกซ้อน
