คำตอบ : มีการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อแบคทีเรียของสารสกัดหยาบด้วยเมทานอลของผลฟักข้าว ว่าสามารถต้านเชื้อแบคทีเรียชนิด Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis โดยค่าความเข้มข้นต่ำที่สุด (MIC) ในการฆ่าเชื้อแบคทีเรียดังกล่าวอยู่ในช่วง 78 ถึง > 400 มก/มล.
